President’s Message: How We’re Looking Around The Corner

Dear friends,

From our very inception, we’ve been on the forefront of Alzheimer’s prevention. Whether it’s research, providing public education with our famous memory screenings, or training folks in our groundbreaking Brain Longevity® Therapy Training (BLTT), we are and will continue to be #1.

We are the first and only organization to make yoga, meditation, spirituality, and environmental wellness central to our work. Rest assured, we will continue publishing white papers and other materials based on our cutting-edge research.

Kirti Khalsa, ARPF CEO, has just completed a remarkable booklet, Yoga for Healthy Aging, featuring interviews with Brain Longevity® Specialists, yoga therapists, and others about their experiences practicing and teaching yoga in their businesses and communities. It will be released soon.

Yes, this has been an excellent year for ARPF. Several medical journals have recognized our groundbreaking work, and BLTT continues to thrive, attracting more paraprofessionals in the medical field.

I’m developing a research idea inspired by a paper I recently reviewed as Prevention Editor for the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease. The study found that indoor pollution can adversely alter gene activity and contribute to memory loss.

As you may know, our UCLA research found that Kirtan Kriya – our remarkable 12-minute meditation – produced beneficial genetic effects, including reduced expression of inflammatory genes. I propose a more advanced study to examine how yoga and Kirtan Kriya may influence genes that protect against memory loss.

As we look around the corner and into the new year of 2027, we would love to have your assistance.

Can we count on you for a nice year-end donation to help keep us going strong?

  • With a donation of any amount, you’ll receive a downloadable guided visualization featuring a deep-breathing technique. I created and recorded this special meditation to promote deep relaxation.
  • With a monthly donation of any amount, you’ll receive downloadable copies of our UCLA white paper, The Pink Brain™ Project, and the 12-minute meditation used in the study (Kirtan Kriya). The research found that menopausal women experienced improvements in brain function, memory, and mood using this protocol.

In gratitude for your continued support.

Yours in Brain Health,

Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D.
