Elder Abuse Webinar Recap

In Alzheimer's Prevention Tips, General, Health, Newsletter, Support Alzheimer's Research and Prevention

Keeping our loved ones safe and well cared for is paramount.

We had an eye-opening webinar about Elder Abuse presented by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office Elder Abuse Unit. We are so grateful to be advocates for seniors. Here’s what participants said:

“Absolutely critical information for keeping our elders and ourselves prepared and safe.”

“So useful! It can be hard for caregivers to deal with loved ones with dementia – but we help them from becoming victims of others.”

“I appreciated the presentation, thanks to the informative slides and examples given to underscore certain points. The dumpster-diving to steal sensitive information was new info to me. Thank you!”

A huge Thank You to our speakers, Jeanine Launay, Esq. Chief of the Elder Abuse Unit at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and Vimi Bhatia, Esq. Deputy Chief of the Elder Abuse Unit at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for carrying out this important work.
