How Kirtan Kriya Enhances Creativity
ARPF CEO Kirti Khalsa recently shared insights on how meditation promotes creativity at a special Live Arts Boston (LAB) program, at the invitation of arts leader and NBC‑HWC health coach Veronique Le Melle, MPA, RYT200.

During the “Mind, Body & Brain Workshop”, Kirti spoke about how a healthier brain is a more creative brain. Drawing on ARPF research, she highlighted how the simple, 12‑minute Kirtan Kriya practice can boost blood flow to the prefrontal cortex – the area of the brain involved in focus, decision‑making, and creative problem‑solving – and help calm the limbic system, which drives our stress and emotional reactivity. By improving this balance, Kirtan Kriya reduces the stress that blocks inspiration and supports a more natural state of creative flow.
Live Arts Boston, funded by The Boston Foundation and the Barr Foundation, is an immersive grant initiative that aims to support artists at any stage of their creative process with a balanced focus on personal and professional development with an integrated approach. By bringing the science of Brain Longevity® and Kirtan Kriya into this ecosystem, ARPF is honored to help artists protect their brain health, sustain their creativity, and thrive as culture‑shapers in their communities.
