Volunteer Spotlight: Sara Kugelmass
Volunteers play a significant role in the ongoing success of ARPF. Their expertise and devotion help us on a wide array of projects. Our team at ARPF couldn’t be more thankful for the community of supporters who are advancing Alzheimer’s prevention and brain health through their time, energy, and generosity.
This month, we would like to recognize Sara Kugelmass. She has contributed beautiful designs several times for ARPF. Her most significant contribution was creating The Pink Brain Project logo.
Why did you choose to volunteer for ARPF?
Alzheimer’s is such a personal disease—almost everyone knows someone who has struggled with the challenges of caring for a loved one with dementia. Supporting ARPF felt like a meaningful way to contribute to a cause that impacts so many lives.
I’m motivated by the ability to give back using my skills. Volunteering allows me to create designs that inspire and inform, helping organizations like ARPF amplify their message and reach their goals. Knowing my work contributes to a larger mission is incredibly rewarding.
What is your background in graphic design?
I’ve worked as a graphic designer and art director for over 15 years, with experience in advertising, entertainment, and non-profit sectors. My expertise includes typography, illustration, and crafting designs that communicate complex ideas clearly and creatively across various platforms.
What did you think of the project / the work that we do?
I admire how the organization addresses Alzheimer’s prevention with a holistic and forward-thinking approach. Being part of a project that supports such a critical mission was both an honor and a privilege.
