Volunteer Spotlight: Rose Stein
Volunteers play a significant role in the ongoing success of ARPF. Their expertise and devotion help us on a wide array of projects. Our team at ARPF couldn’t be more thankful for the community of supporters who are advancing Alzheimer’s prevention and brain health through their time, energy, and generosity.
This month, we would like to recognize Rose Stein. Rose designed our Annual Report, which we can say with full confidence is no small feat.
“Rose’s vision brought our Annual Report to life. We are so thankful to have such a skilled designer make our 30th anniversary Annual Report so beautiful. It truly is a milestone for the Foundation and she did an excellent job creating a publication worthy of all the progress of the last 30 years.” – Kirti Khalsa, ARPF CEO
Volunteering for ARPF felt like a natural choice for me, blending my professional skills with personal purpose. My grandfather’s battle with Alzheimer’s left a profound mark on my life, motivating me to become an advocate for research and prevention. I have also practiced yoga and meditation for over 10 years, and these practices have been transformative on my own health journey. As a certified RYT-200 Yoga instructor, I’m passionate about the holistic approaches ARPF champions, which mirror the values I hold close. Supporting ARPF’s mission feels deeply meaningful, as I know firsthand how impactful this work can be.
What motivates you to volunteer?
My motivation comes from knowing that the work we do truly makes a difference. Supporting an organization like ARPF, which offers life-changing tools and insights for Alzheimer’s prevention, gives me a strong sense of purpose. Volunteering lets me contribute to a greater vision of health, one that empowers people to actively care for their cognitive well-being and gives hope to families impacted by Alzheimer’s.
What did you think of the project and the work that we do?
Working on the annual report was both inspiring and humbling. Witnessing ARPF’s remarkable impact over 30 years—a legacy of commitment to Alzheimer’s prevention through integrative, holistic health—underscored the significance of this work. I am honored to have played a part in celebrating ARPF’s mission and dedication to brain health, knowing how deeply it resonates with people’s lives.
