Lori Taft Sours is a retired higher education instructor and faculty coach based in Jacksonville, Oregon. She spent more than 25 years in higher education, including 21 years at a community college where she taught reading, writing, and critical thinking and later supported colleagues in curriculum design. Following breast cancer treatment in 2000, Lori turned to yoga for healing, earning her 200‑hour certification in 2014 and later completing a 300‑hour program to become an RYT‑500 and E‑RYT‑200. She now specializes in chair‑based yoga for adults 60–90+, emphasizing nervous system resilience and brain health, and plans to develop continuing education offerings that integrate the 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention for yoga teachers.
