The Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation (ARPF) Announces Momentous Partnership with Emerging Artist Stefano May

Alzheimer’s prevention message now spread through music.

TUCSON, Ariz., September 15, 2022

ARPF is delighted to announce a breakthrough partnership with singer/songwriter Stefano May. ARPF is dedicated to preventing Alzheimer’s disease by funding integrative medicine research and providing professional training, educational outreach and memory screenings.

Alzheimer’s disease is the most common type of dementia and is the 6th leading cause of death in the US.

As a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, ARPF mission is to educate the public on lifestyle-based approaches to maximize brain health and cognitive function.

Indeed, thanks to ARPF-sponsored research, it’s been proven that a lifestyle program similar to The 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention® leads to a 25% improvement in overall cognition, 40% in memory, and 150% in processing speed. The 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention include: Diet and Nutrition, Stress Management, Physical and Mental Exercise, and Spiritual Fitness.

Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation is thrilled to spread its message of prevention through the music of singer-songwriter and piano virtuoso Stefano May.

Stefano May is an emerging artist who creates illuminative pop music marked by hope, connection, love, and the aim to heal. Born in Soveria Mannelli, Italy, Stefano took to music at an early age and began classical piano training at age seven. He quickly gained notoriety by performing on popular Italian TV shows, and since then has collaborated with famed songwriters, as well as the famed director Franco Zeffirelli. Honing his craft further, the musician and singer has ultimately composed and scored motion picture soundtracks under the guidance of award-winning filmmaker Jamal Joseph. 2019 marked the beginning of his solo project, when Stefano began collaborating with famed producer Chico Bennett (Madonna, Lady Gaga, The Killers, Prince). Stefano aims to bring people together through the power of music. By sharing his gifts, he empowers others to do the same. “Music is made to heal your soul. People find commonality in the music they listen to and every song has the right time and place for each of its listeners.”

Stefano May

Stefano May has always believed that memories define our experience as humans and make us who we are. This is where the artist draws his passion for spreading awareness about Alzheimer’s disease. Stefano has witnessed early stages of dementia develop into more serious stages of Alzheimer’s among friends and loved ones alike. Watching this process was shocking for him at first, but soon developed into a cause that he’s deeply devoted to. Stefano believes it’s important to respect the body and use music as a method of healing within ourselves. Prevention is the key, which is why Stefano May feels so close to the incredible job of the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation: healing, preventing, and keeping memories alive.

As Alzheimer’s cases are expected to skyrocket before the end of this decade,

“We are looking forward to connecting with younger people through Stefano’s music and sharing our message of hope for their families and for themselves” – Dharma Singh Khalsa, MD, ARPF President

“Prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease is beyond important. It’s an honor to partner with The Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation as they continue to champion new findings and advocate for disease prevention. This collaboration with ARPF strikes a chord in my heart. I look forward to working alongside the organization to write music that can help people in whatever capacity I can.” – Stefano May
