Maricopa County Health Department Collaborates with ARPF in Virtual Event

 In General

The Maricopa County Health Department invited ARPF to present brain health research for their virtual event hosted by Healthy Arizona Worksites. Brain Longevity® in the Workplace: How to Maximize Your Resilience During COVID-19 was organized and led by Brain Longevity Specialists, Teresa Salama and Patricia Cornille OTD, OTR/L, CCEL. It was a great opportunity to share resources to minimize stress, improve brain health, and reduce this year’s onslaught of angst and anxiety.

The two Brain Longevity Specialists united to provide information and tools to boost mental health during COVID-19. Dr. Cornille spoke about the effects of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease on brain health. She reviewed modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors along with current evidence supporting brain health and the reduction of the risk of developing dementia. She also discussed ARPF’s 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention®: Diet and Supplements, Stress Management, Exercise, and Spiritual Fitness. Attendees left with strategies to redesign their lifestyles and optimize habits and routines, especially important during COVID-19.

ARPF is grateful to the Maricopa County Health Department for sharing this critical information with its employees. We are also very proud to see our Brain Longevity Specialists making such a direct and valuable impact in their community.
