Food for Thought: Meet the Presenters

ARPF is excited to introduce the following presenters of our Food for Thought fundraiser. They have put together incredible programs for us and we appreciate them sharing their expertise and passion. Everyone is invited to Food for Thought: a week-long series on diet and wellness on July 24 – 28th.

 

Nancy E. Lombardo, PhD

Nancy Emerson Lombardo, PhD has worked for over 40 years in services for older adults. A passionate advocate for people with Alzheimer’s and other brain diseases, Dr. Emerson Lombardo co-founded the Alzheimer’s Disease International, the Chicago and Detroit chapters of the Alzheimer’s Association and served on the national board for 16 years. Then joined the world of research to inform practice change. She is an internationally recognized thought leader in interventions for diverse populations and innovative therapies for people with AD and their caregivers.

Dr. Emerson Lombardo is Adjunct Research Assistant Professor of Neurology at Boston University School of Medicine, and BU Alzheimer’s Disease Center. She is also Founder and President of the Brain Health and Wellness Center which promotes evidence-based brain healthy lifestyles.

Dr. Emerson Lombardo delivers presentations nationally and internationally to lay and professional audiences. She also offers consultation and coaching to individuals and organizations, including guidance on customizing and implementing brain healthy nutrition programs.

 

Sean Foss, ND, LAc

Dr. Sean Foss graduated from the University of Bridgeport’s Naturopathic College of Medicine and College of Acupuncture. Prior to his education as a naturopathic medical student, Dr. Foss worked as a researcher studying biochemistry, microbiology and Zoology. These earlier experiences in other disciplines have given him a unique perspective that provide an excellent foundation for his Naturopathic medical practice.

Dr. Foss has had extensive experience in treating Lyme disease and other co-infections, autoimmune diseases, toxic exposure, pain disorders, cardiac health and other chronic illnesses for both adults and pediatric patients. He is currently working at his own practice in Cape Cod called the Functional Medicine Collaborative and at the Lyme and PANS Center in Hingham.

 

Urszula Bunting, E-RYT, NBC-HWC, BLS, LMC

Urszula Bunting is the founder of UB Well, LLC, a Yoga Teacher, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, a Lifestyle Medicine Coach, a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, a Brain Longevity Specialist, and a faculty at Red Rock Community College Health and Wellness Department. Urszula has published “Finding Your Yoga: Essential Guide to a Healthy Lifestyle with Yoga and Ayurveda” and several articles for Yoga Journal and other publications. She believes in the power of a healthy lifestyle, body-mind medicine, and a bio-individual approach to treating and preventing chronic conditions and living a happy, fulfilled life. 

 

Michelle Donovan, MS, RD, LDN, ACSM-CPT

Michelle Donovan, MS, RD, LDN, ACSM-CPT is a registered and licensed dietitian as well as an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. She has been providing nutrition and wellness care since 1992. While studying Nutrition at Penn State University, she decided that a career in Nutrition as a Registered Dietitian was for her. She earned her Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Texas A&M University and did her research about successful versus unsuccessful weight loss.
