Donor Spotlight: Mary Eary
Mary Eary was first introduced to ARPF when she was on duty as Secretary to the Commander at McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas. Mary served 55 years of federal service which took her from Nebraska, to Missouri, New Mexico, and Kansas. Not only does Mary support ARPF education and research initiatives on a monthly basis, but she also volunteers three days a week to give support to widows, retirees, and those needing assistance with financial and medical insurance. Mary is what we call a modern-day superwoman– a lifetime of graciously serving others.
The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the way Federal Employees give back to our community at large, and your ARPF is proud to be an accepted charity of the CFC. This year, the name of the campaign is “Show Some Love” which conveys the supportive spirit of these generous donors. Mary has donated to several causes including heart and cancer foundations. When her mother Affie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Mary turned her focus to Alzheimer’s prevention to enhance her mother’s life as well as her own brain health. Affie lived until she was 97.
With our deepest gratitude, ARPF is honored to receive the generous support of Mary Eary and the Combined Federal Campaign. We all know someone who has been affected by the grueling grip of Alzheimer’s. Your ARPF is striving to help families avoid going through such an ordeal. We cannot thank Mary enough for her consistent support. Her donation ensures that Integrative Medicine research continues to make progress in Alzheimer’s prevention.
