We are deeply grateful to our longtime supporter and friend, Leslie Slan, RYT, BLS.
Leslie was driven towards ARPF after retiring from her 30-year career in early childhood education in 2017. “I am a breast cancer survivor of 20 years and I had felt my body had let me down as I always treated it well. I started to practice yoga at Thrive Yoga in Maryland. One of the instructors was Jane Stelboum, RYT, BLS and I took her workshop where she introduced me to Kirtan Kriya. Shortly after, I received an email announcement from Thrive about the ARPF training at American University in DC. I signed up and the rest is history.
I support ARPF as a lifestyle approach to being healthy, particularly the 4 Pillars of Alzheimer’s Prevention. I like to hear about the latest research and the webinars that are offered. After my Brain Longevity Therapy Training, I co-taught with one of my yoga instructors, an Osher adult education 8-week course in Lewes, DE. We also taught a similar 6-week course to Congregants of my Synagogue. I like that I am passing on to others what I was so fortunate to learn,” Leslie explained.
Through her support, we will continue to fund important research, educate the public, and help those who need it most. Thank you, Leslie!
