Bruce Willis and Dementia
Our hearts go out to Bruce Willis and his family as they navigate the challenges of frontotemporal dementia. This diagnosis is a reminder that dementia can touch anyone, even those who live with such vibrancy and passion.
Heming Willis, Bruce’s wife, explained that while his condition is “hard on the family,” there are still “so many beautiful things happening in our lives. It’s just really important for me to look up from the grief and the sadness so that I can see what is happening around us. Bruce would really want us to be in the joy of what is. He would really want that for me and our family.”
The journey of the Willis family underscores why we, at ARPF, are committed to education and advocacy in preventing Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
