DNA Yoga Studio
Old Lyme, CT

Laura Jean Kokoska is a registered nurse and certified Kundalini yoga instructor who draws from 25 years of experience in the medical field, and her own diagnosis of Huntington's disease. Laura's background helps to educate and treat people living with chronic illnesses and complex conditions. Laura is able to help her students achieve healing beyond expectation. She does this by combining her medical and innovative wisdom with practical spirituality that her students can apply to everyday life and crisis situations.

This emerging spiritual leader demonstrates her philosophy by viewing situations as a whole, then focusing on the most important variable(s) to maximize healing. Laura's wellness improves as she encourages her students to endure challenge and nurture resilience.

Laura holds multiple certifications in Kundalini yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Yoga Ed. K-8, and prenatal yoga, with continuing education in neuroscience, hypnosis, reflexology, and eating disorder recovery. She serves on the scientific advisory council for the Alzheimer's Research and Prevention Foundation. Laura is the owner of DNA Yoga & Meditation Yoga Studio in Old Lyme, Connecticut, where she teaches group and private classes in yoga, meditation, and holistic healing.

As a co-founder and past President of the Connecticut chapter of the Huntington's Disease Society of America, Laura facilitates workshops nationally for people living with Huntington's disease and other invisible illnesses, including eating disorders, in which she holds a special interest.
